HARMONIE Sleek Ionic gel is a remarkable sensory-enhancing ingredient that delivers a luxurious, long-lasting, soft, and cushiony skin feel and soft-focus effect. Suitable for use in skin care and color cosmetics, it can be incorporated into a wide range of textures including light hydrogel or gel cream textures. This high-performance product also works well in SPF formulations, nourishing creams, lotions, and leave-on hair care products.
HARMONIE Sleek Ionic gel is non-drying, non-greasy and long-lasting ingredient delivering an elegant, soft, and silky after-feel with soft-focus benefits for the skin. This makes it a great ingredient for products which deliver immediate effects, reducing the appearance of skin imperfections and wrinkles.
In addition to its sensory benefits, HARMONIE Sleek Ionic gel can also aid pigment dispersion and reduce the whitening of UV filters in sunscreen formulations.
HARMONIE Sleek Ionic gel can also be incorporated into leave-on hair care formulations such as serums and curl creams to reduce hair frizziness and improve its appearance.
*In 2021 the INC (Int’l Nomenclature Committee) revised thenomenclature for the hydrocarbon ingredients previously designated by INCInames containing the term “isoparaffin” and “pareth”. The new approach willreplace the stem terms “isoparaffin” and “pareth” with “isoalkane” and “alketh”respectively, preceded by the appropriate carbon number designation. The INCInames previously identified as “Isoparaffin” and “Pareth” will be described bythe term “Formerly” in the monograph title. This approach will be maintained inpublication for an indefinite period of time to fully allow for transition tothe new terminology, e.g., on product labels and in product literature.
During this transition period, both the old terms “isoparaffin” and“pareth” and new terms “isoalkane” and “alketh” are considered as PCPCapproved. PCPC has been communicating with regulators in China regarding thename change, but unfortunately “isoalkane” and “alketh” are not yet listed inInventory of Existing Cosmetic Ingredients in China (IECIC). How to label theirproducts is a business decision by our customers.
